Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Riding Through the Glen
Lately, people have accused me of being a little obsessed with the BBC's new show Robin Hood (the first season is airing on BBC America on Sunday's at 7:00), specifically with the actor in the leading role (Jonas Armstrong). I am however, not as obsessed as the person (or people) responsible for this blog. New Robin You see? Makes me look positively disinterested doesn't it? And they aren't just obsessed with the show, but Robin Hood in general. Interesting stuff there though. Of course, I did find this site, so there you go. But in my defense I was using stumble upon and it led me to it. If you haven't watched the show I highly recommend it, and not just because I find the lead actor to be impossibly attractive. Watch it! And suffer along with me until season 2 airs in the UK. They are filming it now, in Budapest of all places. Oh to be in Budapest this summer.

Ohhhhh-kay.
Well, we all need our infatuations, and heaven knows I live in a very glass house on that subject.
Budapest is nice, though. I was there a long, long time ago, back when it was still Communist and I had to register my whereabouts with the police. (And you wonder where my civil libertarian streak comes from!)
I like Robin Hood - been a fan since the Disney version with the animated fox. Then about ten or so years ago, I came across the BBC version from the 1980s.
Sorry. Went away there for a minute. Back now. Yes, Robin Hood. Jolly good
I read the first part of your post and was fully prepared to go on the defensive here. You, of all people should understand.
I, too, enjoyed the Disney version. In hindsight of course it does seem bizarre that Robin and Marion were the friends and benefactors of chickens and rabbits. Oh well.
The legend of Robin Hood has almost universal appeal, I think, because most people like the idea of someone sticking it to greedy, wealthy people. I say almost universal appeal because somehow I doubt that people like Donald Trump and John Paul Getty enjoy that thought.
Certainly not obsessed! He's HOT!
...and smart, it seems!
(sheepish grin) completely misunderstood Mockingbird. I thought the "ohhhhhh-kay" was directed at me!
That's the problem with electronic communication - it's hard to pick up on nuance. The "ohhhh-kay" was directed at the Brit site, not at SL.
Anyway, I sat down and watched the first ep last night and see the appeal. Which, by the way, goes beyond the actor being a "tasty bit o' crumpet."
Although he is.
